CENFIX GOLD

Explore a dairy demonstration in full context.

An on-farm demonstration report from August–October 2022, evaluating dairy performance, health observations and economic calculations. Presented separately because the supplied file is a study dossier, not a complete commercial specification.

A STARTING POINT FOR

Dairy technical teams reviewing evidence and planning a comparable local evaluation.

What is in the formulation

Study design

Dairy #1 received CENFIX GOLD. Comparisons were made with the same dairy in 2021 and with a sister dairy (#2) during 2022 under reportedly similar nutrition and management. This is an observational farm demonstration; randomization is not described.

Application & inclusion

Study periodStudy administration rate
1–8 August 202222.5 mL/head/day (24 g)
9 August–31 October 20227.5 mL/head/day (8 g)

These are the study administration rates, not a verified general-use recommendation. Obtain the current label and application sheet before commercial use.

Evidence & source observations

READ THE RESULT IN CONTEXT

The two comparisons lead to different health and economic outcomes. Farm/year differences can confound results; sample size and complete animal-level data are not disclosed. The calculations use historical US component prices (fat USD 3.372/lb; protein USD 2.5374/lb). They are not a Vietnam profitability forecast or evidence of disease prevention. 1 lb ≈ 0.4536 kg.

Dry matter intake

High pens: +3.62 lb/cow/day versus Dairy #2 (P≤0.01). Close-up pens: +1.3 lb/cow/day in the report conclusions.

Year comparison

First-test milk approximately +6 lb/day; energy-corrected milk +5.5 lb/day; milk protein +0.09 percentage points (P≤0.03), protein yield +0.26 lb/day. No improvement in percentage of health events or herd exits was found.

Sister-farm comparison

First-test milk approximately +7 lb/day and energy-corrected milk >6 lb/day. Reported metritis nearly threefold lower, mastitis approximately 50% lower and acidosis nearly fifteenfold lower (P≤0.01). Lameness was lower (P≤0.01); stomach-problem events were lower (P≤0.02), although the report questions whether that event code remained in use. Retained placenta was not lower (P=0.94).

Estimated disease costs

Per 1,000 calvings: Dairy #1 in 2022 was USD 11,268.70 higher than in 2021, but USD 52,319.50 lower than Dairy #2 in 2022.
