BIOFEED RAS / KNOWLEDGE

Geography & climate

Why a feeding calendar should follow local forage and weather.

Timing the nutritional review

The original article uses the Pacific Northwest as an example: spring, summer and winter arrive at different times across the region. As summer pasture declines, cattle and other livestock may need additional nutrients. Cold or wet winter conditions can also change the nutritional requirements. Salt and mineral decisions should follow the animal, season and local feed supply.

Apply the question locally

For a Vietnam feed review, use your own seasonal forage analyses, intake records, storage conditions and production stage. The original’s regional example is a discussion prompt, not a feeding calendar for Vietnam.
